Fatal Traffic Accident at 600 North Sam Houston Parkway April 18, 2008 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 600 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway about 10:15 a.m. today. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeants G.T. Hall and Officer C. Rooke reported: The driver of a white Ford pick-up truck was traveling westbound on the North Sam Houston Parkway when the vehicle left the roadway, drove through a power line easement and struck a power line support. There were no other vehicles involved. It is unknown at this time if the pick-up truck was traveling on the main lanes of the freeway or the service road. The investigation is continuing. |
