HPD Asks Men And Women to “Stand Up” in Newest Recruiting Ads

April 16, 2008 - Members of the Houston Police Department Recruiting Unit have released the final two of five video advertisements aimed at attracting the best men and women in the Houston area and the nation to “Stand Up” and be counted to serve and protect the City of Houston.

One of the ads focuses on jobs performed by investigators in the HPD Crime Scene Unit. That ad can be viewed at https://youtube.com/watch?v=K19dtXsJ_Ec.

The other advertisement highlights the HPD Mounted Patrol Detail and can be viewed at https://youtube.com/watch?v=5hLz1o0Qulw.

Now is the best time to join the HPD. A $12,000 incentive is in effect for those who enroll in the May cadet class, while an $8,000 incentive will apply to those in the June and August classes.
