Incident at 8600 Edgar

September 22, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8600 Edgar about 5:15 a.m. today (Sept. 22).

The identity of the victim, 47, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Division Sergeant W. Anthony and Officer R. Chappell reported:

The victim was found lying near a sidewalk in the 8600 block of Edgar about 5:15 a.m. Residents in the area reported hearing gunfire about 3:30 a.m., however, there are no known witnesses to the shooting at this time.
