Traffic Incident at Northline at West Little York

September 22, 2007 - Charges of intoxication manslaughter are pending against a suspect arrested in a fatal traffic accident at Northline at West Little York about 6:50 a.m. today (Sept. 22).

The identity of the deceased female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant D.S. Runyan and Officer J. Lin reported:

The driver of a white Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling east on West Little York at a high rate of speed struck a red Pontiac as it traveled north on Northline. The driver of the Pontiac was killed instantly and her female passenger was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.

The driver of the Chrysler had odor of alcohol on his breath when he was transported to an area hospital for treatment. He was taken into custody at the hospital and a mandatory blood sample was taken.
