Incident at 9555 Crofton #1076 September 16, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the death of a woman at 9555 Crofton #1076 about 9:45 a.m. on Saturday (September 15). The victim’s identity is pending confirmation by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. Evidence found at the scene indicates that the victim was strangled. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Anthony and Officer R. Chappell reported: The victim’s relatives were notified by some of her neighbors that the victim’s children were outside their apartment and they did not know the whereabouts of their mother. The victim’s relatives took custody of the children and went to the apartment to find out what happened. The apartment was found open and the police was called. The deceased victim was found inside a closet and it was determined that she had been strangled and sustained a cut on the forearm.
