Update on Incident at 6600 Ludington May 20, 2007 - A suspect charged and wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 6600 Ludington about 8:55 a.m. on December 22, 2006 is now in custody. The suspect, Carl Michael Williams (b/m, DOB 4-19-77) was arrested without incident at 6101 West Bellfort on Saturday (May 19). Williams is charged with murder in the 339th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Lester Zabadiah Gordon, 30, who died from a gunshot wound to the head. A photo of the suspect was released to the media on December 24, 2006. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Gonzalez and Officer R.W. Chappell reported: HPD officers responded to a call at 6600 Ludington about a deceased man found near the bayou. A follow-up investigation revealed that Mr. Gordon was murdered at a nearby apartment complex, before being dumped near the bayou. Investigators also identified Williams as the suspect.
