Traffic Incident at 1800 Richmond Avenue

May 6, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 1800 Richmond Avenue about 1:30 a.m. today (May 6).

The victim, identified as David Baldwin, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant P. Casares and Officer A. Alaniz reported:

Mr. Baldwin was walking in the roadway on Richmond Avenue near Woodhead when a small compact vehicle traveling southbound struck him as he walked home from work at a local restaurant. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Investigators are seeking the driver of the compact vehicle for questioning at this time. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4065.
