Incident at 6405 West Bellfort

March 28, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6405 West Bellfort about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (March 27).

The victim, Jose Saul Garcia, 26, of 6405 West Bellfort #108, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.D. Newcomb and Officer A. Mares reported:

Mr. Garcia was sitting in his vehicle in the apartment complex parking lot when he was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect. Garcia’s two-year old daughter was in the backseat of the vehicle, but was unharmed. The suspect fled immediately after the shooting.
