Incident at 8750 Broadway #2219

March 3, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a young boy following an incident at 8750 Broadway #2219 about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday (Mar. 3).

Axel Andres Cano, 22 months old, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.C. Padilla and Officer M. Khan reported:

The child’s parents told investigators they drove Axel to the hospital after he had suffered from severe vomiting and diarrhea at the family’s apartment.

At this time, investigators will await results of an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is continuing.
