3rd Update On Incident At 9700 Court Glen July 29, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 9700 Court Glen on July 14. A second suspect, Brandon Joeroy Butler (b/m, DOB: 8/7/82), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. He was arrested on Friday (July 27), on an unrelated weapons charge. He admitted to being present when Ms. Flores was killed and witnesses were able to place the pistol in his hands at the time of the incident. Suspect Justin Glen McTier (b/m, DOB: 2/6/62), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. McTier was arrested on Monday (July 23), in Austin, Texas, by officers with the Austin Police Department. Both suspects are accused in the killing of Melissa Flores, 17, of 5425 Polk, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head and leg and was pronounced dead at the scene. Ms. Flores was identified by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office through dental records. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.E. Elliott and Officer J.C. Bonaby reported: Tenants at the Court Glen Place Apartments heard multiple gunshots and then looked out their windows and saw Ms. Flores lying on a sidewalk inside a common area at the apartment complex.
