Incident at 1100 West 19th

January 28, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 1100 West 19th Street about 7:05 p.m. on Saturday (January 27).

The victim suffered a stab wound to the chest and was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he later died. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Torres and Officers K. Rivera and S. Straughter reported:

The victim entered the business at 1126 West 19th Street and told the store clerk he had been stabbed. He collapsed before he was taken to the hospital by HFD.

There are no known suspects or motive at this time.
