Incident at 10901 Telephone

January 27, 2007 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 10901 Telephone about 1:55 a.m. today (Jan. 27).

The victim, Victor Hugo Huizar-Vargas, 39, suffered a gunshot wound.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant F. Balmarez and Officer T.A. Andrade reported:

Victor Huizar-Vargas and two friends were gathered outside of an apartment when an unknown suspect approached and shot Mr. Huizar-Vargas. He was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.
