Incident at 3800 West Fuqua
January 12, 2007 -- Houston
police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 3800 West
Fuqua about 12:50 a.m. today (Jan. 12).
The identity of the victim, a juvenile male believed
in his teens, is pending verification by the Harris County Medical
Examiner's office.

D.S. Runyan and Officer M.E. Wick reported:
According to witnesses, a blue Chevrolet SUV
traveling eastbound on West Fuqua at a high rate of speed left
the roadway and apparently over-corrected causing the vehicle
to skid. The right side of the vehicle struck a tree in the median
of the roadway killing a juvenile passenger. The driver and one
other passenger of the Chevrolet were flown via Life Flight helicopter
to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown conditions. There were
no other vehicles involved in the accident.
The driver of the Chevrolet may face charges
once the investigation is completed.
