Incident at 1041 Elberta
February 23, 2007 -- Houston
police are investigating the death of an unidentified woman found
at 1041 Elberta about 7:40 a.m. today (February 23).
The adult victim’s identity and cause of
death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s
office. It appears she suffered multiple stab wounds.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Binford and
Officer R.A. Swinson reported:
A juvenile male walking to the bus stop saw the
body of the deceased woman in the backyard of a vacant house at
1041 Elberta. He told a friend and they returned to the house
before they alerted a passing patrol vehicle.
The victim is described as a black female, 25
to 30 years of age, and has a tattoo of playing cards and the
name “shorty” inked on her body.
