Incident at Hiram Clarke at South Main
February 9, 2007 -- Houston
police are investigating the shooting of a man at Hiram Clarke
and South Main about 5:20 p.m. on Thursday (February 8).
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and
was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
His identity is unknown at this time.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Walker and
A. Semmelrock and Officer T. Hufstedler reported:
The victim and a female companion were driving
eastbound on the South Main feeder road just east of Hiram Clarke
in a green Lexus. Witnesses reported seeing a maroon or burgundy
Impala or Grand Prix drive next to the victim’s car and
begin shooting at the victim. The Lexus stopped just before entering
the ramp onto Highway 90 as the suspect vehicle drove away.
The suspects are described only as three black
males.
