Incident at 5601 Royal Palms December 30, 2007 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5601 Royal Palms on Saturday (December 29) at 8:40 p.m. The victim is identified as Brandon Thomas Rem, 23, of 4213 Dawson. He sustained a gunshot wound to the left torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Sosa and Officer P. Munoz reported: Mr. Rem was involved in a verbal confrontation with the suspect. The suspect left the location and returned armed with a handgun. The confrontation continued and the suspect fired a single gunshot striking Mr. Rem. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years of age, wearing a dark blue jacket and black pants.
