Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2004 Murder Case December 28, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in the 9800 block of Braeburn Glen Boulevard on February 17, 2004. The suspect, Desmond Demond Moore (b/m, 9-2-75), is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Dorcell R. Jones, 26, of 7313 Oak Hill Drive. Mr. Jones suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J.J. Brooks and B.E. Roberts and Officer M. F. Waters reported: Mr. Jones was standing in the 9800 block of Braeburn Glen when Moore pulled up in a vehicle and shot him in the chest. Further investigation determined Jones had been involved in an argument with Moore earlier in the day of February 16, 2004. Witness statements and new information received by Homicide investigators identified Moore as the suspect in this case and on Thursday (Dec. 27) he was arrested without incident.
