Incident at 4114 Fulton December 15, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of another male at 4114 Fulton about 8:45 p.m. Friday (December 14). The victim, Janette Dominguez, 68, suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she later died. A second victim, a security guard, suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. A. Odom and Officer J.L Coffelt reported: Two armed suspects attempted to rob a Fiesta grocery store at 4114 Fulton. A security guard exchanged gunfire with both suspects and was wounded. Ms. Dominguez was shot several times. It is believed the security guard wounded one of the suspects. Both suspects fled the scene in a van, which was located a short time later. According to witnesses, a third suspect picked up the two robbery suspects in another vehicle and fled the area. The Harris County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a dead man in a residential neighborhood shortly after the incident. The deceased male may be one of the three suspects involved in the robbery attempt and shooting of Dominguez. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine the male’s identity and cause of death.
