Update On Incident at 10910 Gulf Freeway December 7, 2007 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 10910 Gulf Freeway service road about 3 p.m. on Nov. 22, 2007. The suspect, Brenton Trevoy Scott (b/m, DOB: 4-4-84), is charged with murder in the 339th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Damon J. Ford, 29, of New Orleans, Louisiana. Ford suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. HPD Homicide Division Officers T.T. Pool and M.A. Khan reported: Mr. Ford met with Scott and one other male in the parking lot of the Indigo Falls apartments at 10910 Gulf Freeway. During that meeting, he and the males got into an argument and Scott shot Ford in the face as he sat inside a white Chevrolet Avalanche. Both male suspects fled on foot. A short time later, one of the males returned and drove away in a dark colored Chevrolet Astrovan. A follow-up investigation identified Scott as the suspect in this case and on Tuesday (December 4), he was arrested at the Indigo Falls Apartments without incident.
