Incident at 6610 Alder August 7, 2007 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a baby boy at 6610 Alder about 11:45 p.m. on Monday (August 6). The infant, Torrey Lamon Sherman Jr., 13 months, of 10600 Wingtip, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he died. The child, who had bruises to the face, was determined to be suffering from severe health issues and was characterized as a special needs baby. An autopsy will determine whether Torrey’s illnesses or injuries resulted in the cause of death. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. O. Scott and Officer C.L. Scales reported: Workers at the Robindell Private School daycare stated they observed bruises on baby Torrey when he was brought to the facility by a parent on Monday evening. Workers later observed the baby had stopped breathing and immediately performed CPR while paramedics were called. The investigation is continuing.
