Incident at 9400 Emnora

April 30, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident in the 9400 block of Emnora about 9:15 p.m. on Sunday (Apr. 29).

The victim, identified as Kaylyn Trader, 15, of 10615 Hazelhurst, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R.C. Gonzales and Officers S.M. Johnson, J. Perrotte and C.D. Jack reported:

Witnesses said a black Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling east on Emnora when it failed to maintain a single lane and struck Miss Trader as she was walking with two other juveniles. The truck then struck another vehicle, a dark blue truck and then sped from the scene.

Investigators believe the wanted black Ford F-150 has damage to its front left or front right side. Anyone with information on the wanted vehicle or suspect in this case is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4065 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
