Incident at 9001 Kempwood

April 22, 2007 - An investigation into the death of a man at 9001 Kempwood about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday (Apr. 21) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The victim, identified as Anthony Helleotes, 40, suffered abrasions and was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Officer B.W. Nabors reported:

Officers learned Mr. Helleotes and another male had been in a fistfight at the apartment complex where both men lived. Several minutes after the altercation, Helleotes had what was described as a seizure inside his apartment. Paramedics transported him to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators interviewed the other male involved in the fight and other witnesses. No charges have been filed at this time and investigators will await results of an autopsy in Helleotes’ death.
