Traffic Incident at 11500 Sandrock

April 21, 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11500 Sandrock about 6:55 p.m. on Friday (Apr. 20).

The deceased victim has been identified as Cedric Washington, 28, of 5874 Beldart. He was pronounced dead from his injuries about 10:45 a.m. today (Apr. 21).

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant A.C. Francois and Officers Y. Bashir and T. Cox reported:

The victim was operating a motorcycle and traveling at a high rate of speed when he failed to notice a curve in the roadway. The victim struck a curb and then was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died.
