Traffic Incident at 10400 Bissonnet
April , 2007 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10400 Bissonnet about 3 p.m. on Thursday (Apr. 19).
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.
HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant W.R. Cumbess and Officer M. Lowder reported:
An HPD officer was informed of a gold vehicle involved in a theft at a nearby business. The officer saw the vehicle and activated the emergency lights on the patrol vehicle. At that time, the driver of the gold vehicle ran the stop sign at 10400 Bissonnet before the officer could activate his siren. The vehicle was then struck by a Loomis Fargo Armored truck.
It was determined the gold vehicle was stolen and had three suspects inside. One of the suspects was killed in the accident, two others were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital. The driver and passenger of the armored truck were transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
The investigation is continuing.
