Incident at 6340 Rampart #21

September 28, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 6340 Rampart #21 about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday (September 27).

The victim, a black female, suffered a gunshot wound and died at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner*s office.

HPD Homicide Sergeant L.A. Flores and Officer E.R. Carstens reported:

HPD Officers were responding to a discharge of firearms call at 6340 Rampart #21 when the call was changed to a shooting. Officers arrived and located the victim deceased at the scene. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and seeing two males running from the scene.

The two suspects are described only as black males, both wearing white t-shirts and khaki pants.
