Incident at 4102 Mangum #11

September 8, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 4102 Mangum #11 about 2:50 p.m. on Thursday (September 7).

The victim's identity and cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Officers A.J. Palos and M. Khan reported:

The apartment complex manager and a friend of the tenant entered the apartment and found the body of a deceased female inside. The friend of the tenant was concerned since he had not seen his friend for several days. He notified the manager, who entered the unit with him. Upon entering, they smelled a foul odor and then found the female's body on a bed.
