HPD Seeks Help Identifying Bank Robber
September 1, 2006 -- Houston
Police Department Robbery Division investigators are seeking the
public's help in identifying a robbery suspect who held up the
First Convenience Bank located in a Krogers Store at 9919 Westheimer
on July 16, 2006 at about 3:53 p.m.
HPD Robbery Division Sergeant D. Ryza reported
that the lone gunman approached the tellers' counter and asked
about opening an account. After the customers left, the suspect
pulled up his shirt and exposed a handgun tucked in his waistband.
He demanded the teller give him all the money from the drawer
and then fled on foot.
The suspect
is described as a black male, 26 to 27 years old, 5 feet 6 inches
to 5 feet 7 inches tall. He is has a chubby build, weighing between
200-215 pounds with a dark complexion, and is clean-shaven. The
suspect was wearing a
what appears to be a white baseball style cap with silver and
gold lettering. He was also wearing a gray shirt and pants.
