Traffic Incident at 3500 Gulf Freeway
October 29, 2006 -- Houston
police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident
in the 3500 block of the Gulf Freeway about 1:10 a.m. today (Oct.
29).
The name of the deceased male pedestrian, believed
to be 20 to 30 years old, has not been released pending verification
by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

Alaniz and C.D. Jack reported:
A witness reported the pedestrian was standing
in a moving lane of traffic on the northbound lanes of the Gulf
Freeway when he was struck by a vehicle, possibly a Ford F-150.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of
the vehicle that struck him fled the scene, failing to stop and
render aid.
