Update on Incident at 10550 Valley Forge
October 17, 2006 -- Houston
police are seeking the public's help in identifying a female fatally
shot at 10550 Valley Forge about 12:50 a.m. on October 8.
The victim,
a black female believed to be 16 to 21 years old, is 5 feet 3
inches tall and weighs 118 pounds. She has two piercings in each
of her ears and was found with her hair tied back in a ponytail.
The woman was wearing a black shirt and shorts and pink bedroom
slippers with black paw prints. Investigators believe the woman
might have lived outside the city or was a Hurricane Katrina evacuee
relocated here. A photo of the unidentified victim is attached
to this news release.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to
the head and neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Avila and M. Cruz Jr. reported:
HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics responding
to a shooting call at the La
Fontaine Apartments discovered the body of the victim in the parking
lot. Residents reported hearing gunshots in the area prior to
the discovery of the victim. There are no known witnesses or suspects
at this time.
