Incident at 5301 Ingomar

November 18, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5302 Ingomar about 7:30 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 17).

The victim, Kareem Napoleon Mathews, 25, of 5302 Ingomar suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Officer A. Palos reported:

Kareem Mathews arranged to meet two unknown males at his residence to conduct a drug transaction. The two males arrived and were let into the residence by Mathews. An altercation, between Mathews and the suspects, began and several shot were fired. Mathews was struck several times. The suspects fled in an unknown vehicle.
