Traffic Incident on Main at Bissonnet

November 17, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian on Main at Bissonnet about 6 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 16).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officers D. Ertons and B. Kessler reported:

A vehicle traveling southbound on Main at Bissonnet struck a pedestrian, who was dressed in dark clothing, as he attempted to cross the roadway at the intersection. The impact caused the death of the pedestrian.

The investigation is continuing.
