Traffic Incident at 7700 North Freeway

November 15, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian at 7700 North Freeway (IH-45) about 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 13).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant W.R. Cumbess and Officers R. Kessler, Y. Bashir and M. Lowder reported:

According to witnesses, a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the southbound lanes of the North Freeway. The impact caused the death of the unidentified male pedestrian. Three persons inside the Cavalier were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown conditions. No charges are anticipated as a result of this accident.
