Incident at 3901 Omeara

November 15, 2006 --Charges are pending against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 3901 Omeara about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday (November 14).

The suspect, Larry Richards (b/m, DOB 2-24-59), is facing murder charges in the killing of the unidentified victim.

The victim suffered lacerations and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B.P. Evans and Officer C.T. Hufstedler reported:

HPD officers responded to a stabbing call at 3901 Omeara and found the victim lying on the second floor balcony of building 20 of the Pine Terrace Apartments. While on the scene, investigators developed information on a possible suspect, who was later arrested at the same apartment complex.
