Incident at 6201 W. Bellfort
May 31, 2006 -- Police are searching
for a gunman who shot and killed a 29-year-old man at 6201 W.
Bellfort on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at about 11:15 p.m.
Witnesses told Houston Police Department Homicide
Division Investigators P.T. Yochum and T. Cunningham, the victim,
Marcus Madison Sr., of 10700 Fondren #701n had on going disagreement
with a man who lived in the apartment complex for over two weeks.
The exact nature of the disagreement was not known but they exchanged
words with each other several times during that period of time.
Madison was sitting in the parking lot of the
complex with some friends when the suspect wearing a black hooded
sweatshirt, black pants and black tennis shoes approached the
group. The suspect produced a handgun and fired at least one shot.
Madison and his friends attempted to run but the suspect grabbed
Madison's shirt. Madison was able to escape and ran between cars
in the parking lot. The suspect shot at Madison, striking him
multiple times. He died at the scene. The suspect fled the scene.
