Incident at 11800 Astoria Blvd.

May 29, 2006 --Houston police are investigating the death of a two year old that occurred at 11800 Astoria Blvd on Monday, May 29, 2006 at about 12:30 a.m.

Family members told HPD Homicide Investigators P.T. Yochum and T. Andrade that the infant girl was in Houston for the holiday weekend visiting from Leesville, Louisiana. She was taken to Memorial Southeast Hospital after she was unresponsive late Sunday evening. She died shortly after arrival to the hospital. The child had spent the day in the country in Liberty County at the farm of another family member.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
