Traffic Incident at 12700 East Freeway

May 21, 2006 -- Investigators assigned to the Hit and Run Unit of the Mobility Incident Management Division are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in the westbound lanes of the 12700 block of the East Freeway Service Road at approximately 2:25 AM on May 21, 2006. The accident claimed the life of a Hispanic male pedestrian.

Senior Police Officer R. Davidson reports:

An unidentified Hispanic male was walking in the roadway when he was struck and killed by a vehicle that left the scene without stopping or rendering any assistance. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigating officers identified and questioned a woman possibly involved in this accident, however, no charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is continuing.
