Incident at 10603 South Wilcrest #23

May 5, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10603 South Wilcrest #23 about 11:20 p.m. on Thursday (May 4).

The victim is identified as Desota Payton, 29, of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.W. McStravick and Officer E.R. Carstens reported:

A friend arrived at the Payton's apartment and found him collapsed on the floor. He determined that Payton had been shot multiple times and called HFD paramedics who pronounced him dead at the scene.
