Incident at 15115 Kennedy Oaks
March 27, 2006 -- A 13-year-old
boy was shot in the chest after four intruders entered his home
on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 15115 Kennedy Oaks at around 5:30
p.m.
According to Houston Police Department Homicide
Division Sergeants D.A. Ferguson and M.O. Scott, a witness observed
four black male suspects, who appeared to be wearing black hoods
and red ski masks, drive up to the residence in an older model,
blue and tan Chevrolet Suburban. One of the suspects kicked open
the door to the home and confronted the juvenile victim, Jamil
Smith Jr., who was in his bedroom. The suspect shot Jamil once
in the left upper chest before fleeing the scene. Jamil woke up
his father's girlfriend who was sleeping in another bedroom. She
then called 911.
Jamil was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital
where he is listed in stable condition.
