Incident at 5117 April
March 18, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting and stabbing of a man at
5117 April around 11:30 p.m. Friday (Mar. 17).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification
by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered multiple
gunshot wounds, a severe neck laceration and his body was partially
burned. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers I.F. Flores and
B.D. Evans reported:
HPD firefighters responding to the scene of a
trash dumpster fire at a commercial business complex discovered
the body of a male in his mid to late twenties inside the burning
demister. Firefighters extinguished the fire and notified HPD
officers who arrived minutes later. An on-scene examination by
the Medical Examiner's office investigator discovered that the
unknown male had two gunshot wounds to the top of the head and
a severe laceration to the right side of the neck. There was no
identification on the body.
