Update on Incident at 66 East Crosstimbers
March 13, 2006 -- Charges have
been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal beating of a
man at 66 East Crosstimbers about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday (Mar. 12).
The suspect, Leon
Lugo Andradé (H/m, DOB 4-11-70), is charged with murder
in the 263rd State District Court. Andradé fled the scene
driving in a 1989 green Chevrolet van with Texas license plates
273CRN. The driver's side door is a different color from the rest
of the van.
The victim is identified as William Hsing Huang,
61, of 318 Oyster Creek in Sugar Land. He suffered multiple lacerations
to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C.W. Howard and
M.W. McStravick reported:
Mr. Huang was locking up his restaurant at 66
East Crosstimbers as one of his employees and her daughter waited
outside with him. Andradé, who is the stranged husband
of the employee and father of the girl, drove up in the van and
began asking who the man locking the door was. Andradé
then attempted to physically assault Huang, but he ran. Andradé
then grabbed a machete from his van and chased after Huang. Andradé
caught up with Huang and then began striking him repeatedly with
the machete.
Andradé and a second unidentified suspect
in the van then fled in the vehicle.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of
suspect Leon Andradé is urged to contact the HPD Homicide
Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
