Traffic Incident 4700 Anderson Road

March 8, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 4700 Anderson Road about 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday (Mar. 7).

The deceased pedestrian is identity is identified as Gerardo Guel, 32, of 1302 Roxella. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N. Nguyen and Officer D. Ertons reported:

The driver of a black Chevy Equinox SUV traveling eastbound on Anderson Road struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway. The pedestrian, Guel, was crossing in an area not designated for pedestrian traffic. No charges have been filed against the driver of the SUV. There were no other injuries.
