Incident at 9510 Almeda Pines Drive
March 7, 2006 -- The fatal shooting
of a home invasion suspect at 9510 Almeda Pines Drive about a.m.
today (Mar. 7) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The suspect, Reginald McAlister, 32, was pronounced
dead at the scene. The homeowner, Jose Guadalupe Ramon Jr., 30,
was not injured.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W.P. Booth and
Officer A.D. Brown reported:
Mr. Ramon arrived at his residence and heard
a loud crashing noise coming from the back of the house, followed
by numerous gunshots. When Ramon saw a male entering through the
damaged back door, he fired several shots at the intruder. Evidence
at the scene indicated a second suspect was involved, but that
suspect fled the scene. It is unknown if that second suspect was
injured.
