Incident at 6405 West Bellfort
March 2, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 6405
West Bellfort about 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday (Mar. 1).
The victim, identified as Alen Selimic, 14, of
8811 Gustine Lane #1104 suffered a gunshot wound to the back and
was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C.W. Howard and
Officer B.D. Evans reported:
Officers were called to Memorial Hermann Southwest
Hospital after a shooting victim arrived there in a private vehicle.
While at the hospital, officers were told the shooting happened
at 6405 West Bellfort at Sandpiper, near an apartment complex.
The victim's friends told investigators Selimic was with three
of them as they drove in a silver Dodge Neon on West Bellfort.
As they were traveling, they said three unknown Hispanic males
in another vehicle pulled up alongside their vehicle and fired
shots, wounding Selimic as he sat in the back seat. They then
drove Selimic to the hospital.
At this time, there is no description on the
suspects' vehicle.
