Traffic Incident on Richmond at Shadowbriar

June 5, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident on Richmond at Shadowbriar about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday (June 4).

The victim, identified as Lars Sean Drummond, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Mobility Incident Management Division Sergeant N. Nguyen and Officer R. Stafford reported:

Witnesses reported the victim was riding his Honda motorcycle at a high rate of speed westbound on Richmond. A blue Dodge Ram truck was at a stop sign on Shadowbriar at Richmond. As the truck left the stop sign to enter the median, the motorcyclist swerved and ran into the front of the pickup truck. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. The investigation is continuing.
