Incident at 2800 Produce Row

July 29, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman found at 2800 Produce Row about 1:50 p.m. on Friday (July 28).

The identity of the victim and her cause of death will be determined by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Walker and Officer T. Hufstedler reported:

Witnesses discovered a decomposing body floating in Braes Bayou at the intersection of Produce Row and Old Spanish Trail and called police. Beyond the determination that the body was that of a female, little else is known about her identity or her cause of death. There were no obvious signs of trauma.
