Incident at 4800 Lamonte

July 23, 2006 -- Houston Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a female infant at 4800 Lamonte on July 23, 2006.

Homicide investigators J. McGalin and J. Sosa report:

On July 23, 2006, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the decease infant's mother, Shanna D. Carr, awoke to find her daughter, Latroyia Carr (b/f 5-16-06) unresponsive. Shanna Carr notified 9-1-1 and HFD EMS transported Latroyia to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

There were no apparent signs of trauma to the child.

The investigation into this incident continues.
