Incident at 4400 Hershe

July 23, 2006 -- Houston Police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a male at 4400 Hershe on July 23, 2006.

Homicide investigators P. Guerrero and J. Selvera report:

On July 23, 2006, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Houston Police patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 4400 block of Hershe. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the victim, Michael Gaines (b/m 9-11-1974), lying dead in the street. It appears the victim sustained at least one gunshot wound.

Neighbors reported having heard gunshots in the area but there are no known witnesses to this shooting.
