Incident at 1350 Greens Parkway #804
July 21, 2006 -- Charges have
been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a
man at 1350 Greens Parkway #804 about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday (July
20).
The suspect, Cedric Cottrell Evans (b/m, DOB:
2/9/84), has been charged with murder in the 339th State District
Court.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Kennedy and
Officer I.F. Flores reported:
The victim, Santos Lamar Harris, 36, of 1350
Greens Parkway #1225, was involved in an altercation with his
girlfriend the day before his death.
During the altercation, Harris apparently scratched
her neck and was asked to move out of the apartment they shared.
The girlfriend*s cousin, Cedric Cottrell Evans, saw the scratches
on her neck and became upset. Evans located Harris at the above
location to discuss the incident with him. A short time later,
Evans went to hug Harris and then produced a gun and shot him
several times. The suspect then left the location on foot. Harris
was pronounced dead at the scene.
