Incident at 11900 North Freeway
July 14, 2006 -- Houston police
are investigating the death of a man found in the 11900 block
of the North Freeway service road about 4:15 a.m. today (July
14).
The identity of the male victim, who sustained
gunshot wounds to the back and legs, is pending verification by
the Harris County Medical Examiner's office.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Parker and
Officer D.L. Robertson reported:
A citizen driving in the 11900 block of the North
Freeway at West Sam Houston Parkway discovered the body of a man
lying in the roadway. The victim appeared to be 45 to 55 years
old and dressed in a red short-sleeve golf shirt, black pants,
a black McDonald's embroidered baseball cap, and black shoes with
tan socks. The victim had in his possession a McDonald's name
tag imprinted with the name "Daniel." HFD paramedics
responded to the scene and pronounced him dead. There are no known
suspects or witnesses at this time.
