Incident at 7500 Bissonnet

July 11, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile at 7500 Bissonnet about 9:50 p.m. on Monday (July 10).

The victim, Johnathon Martinez, 13, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported by HFD paramedics to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.T. Wyers and Officer B.W. Nabors reported:

The victim and several friends were standing in the parking lot of the apartment complex at 7500 Bissonnet when the suspects drove by and fired at least one shot into the crowd. The victim was struck and the suspect or suspects left the scene in a blue or gray colored four door vehicle.
